What does mouth to lung (MTL) mean in vaping?

Mouth to lung vaping — also shortened to simply MTL — is where you inhale the vapour from your electric cigarette into your mouth and then into your lungs. This is how most people smoke cigarettes, so if you’re moving on from cigarettes to vaporisers, then an MTL vape is probably best. The other option is direct to lung — or DTL — which requires you to take the vapour directly into your lungs.

How do you vape effectively?

On the other hand, if you’re a DTL vaper, inhaling is just like breathing in air or sucking air through a straw. Of course, you may also wish to inhale your vape just like a cigar — that is, drawing the vapour into your mouth, letting it stay there for a moment, and then exhaling it without drawing it into your lungs at all.
